Excursions

Please note that the excursions are an essential part of the conference.

Mid-conference excursions

One-day excursions (alternative tours) across the southern part of the country. The nature is very diverse and you will get the chance to see e.g. a restored stream, extracted or regenerating extracted peatlands, spontaneously re-vegetated sand pits, quarries, and forests regenerating after bark-beetle attack. Furthermore, some examples of  conservation management in nature reserves will be demonstrated. The Czech Republic is known for its rich history; therefore visits to some of the most beautiful historical monuments will be part of each field trip.
